Emperor Orion Liveaboard Report Divemood

FRIDAY 14 APRIL 2017

The second day on the Orion. Everything that’s new is strange and expose yourself long enough to something it al becomes normal. So . . . 2 days on board is perhaps just the good time to share with you the first impressions. If I had to describe the boat in one word I just would use "cosy". A good word to describe a familiar friendly atmosphere where it is very pleasant to stay.

SUNDAY 16 APRIL and MONDAY 17 APRIL 2017

Yes correct, this should have been posted yesterday, but Meemu Atoll still has a corner where there is no phone or internet. So, here we are, the delayed Sunday post plus the Monday one. This time a bit more about the dive organisation and of course the dives made from the Orion in the first days on board. All good so far

TUESDAY 18 APRIL 2017

Today we planned to focus a bit on the good food on board of the boat but also as a bonus a great sunset dive with nurse sharks at Alimatha. Created a small movie for everyone to have an impression, really nice!

WEDNESDAY 19 APRIL 2017

Most people look at the boat, the price and the company when they book a dive trip, but what is really making your trip is always the crew. So . . . the boat is good, what about the crew?

THURSDAY 20 APRIL 2017

Only two dives in the morning and we have done all the dives we could. Beautiful memories and time to reflect a bit on the trip, the boat and the dives. An overview with of course a nice video that tries to tell it all.

SUNDAY 6 MARCH 2016

After a long time in Hulhumale today Alla and me stepped aboard the Adora. Hulhumale being the future suburb of Malé is still a work in progress and after a week in between the construction sites with noise and concrete dust at once we remembered why we are so long in Maldives. Arriving on board made us realize that this was the Maldives that concurred our hearts a long time ago.  Only stepping on board was enough to change our mood . . .  divemood!

Monday, 7 March 2016

As we had some late arrivals yesterday and we could not make the first dive on Sunday, the guides decided to start good with a day of 4 dives, spread out over 3 atolls. It wasn't easy to wake up after a long evening talking with our new Russian friend and perhaps even more than the one beer we spoke about, but we did it and had some amazing start of the week.
